Hiii!
I know it's almost a month into 2015 but since I only made this blog a week ago, I couldn't really post it at the start of January.
So here are 6 things that I learnt in 2014.
1. You can't rely on others to make your happiness -
This is something I learnt at the very start of last year and honestly I'm still trying to figure it out. Basically, you need to make your own happiness and not be waiting on someone to talk to you or whatever to make you happy, because when that person is gone, you'll have no one but yourself. The same goes to 'don't listen to people who make you sad'. If someone is bullying you or hurting you, tell yourself that that doesn't define you, it defines them. You are beautiful and going so well in life and one person shouldn't bring you down, or bring you up. You have to make your own happiness.

2. No one is who you think they are -
I'm probably not going to go big in detail for this, but basically no one is really who you think they are. For me, it's hard to explain, but people never tell you everything, and people change a lot, especially in a year. Which brings me to my next one.

3. A lot can happen in a year -
Now, this isn't necessarily about me, but I noticed that last year, so many YouTubers achieved so many things. Alfie Deyes (PointlessBlog) released a book and made merch. Zoe Sugg (Zoella) released beauty products, wrote a book and won a ton or awards. Troye Sivan released an EP (which is my favourite thing right now by the way). That's only to name a few but there were so many other YouTubers who achieved so many good things in just a year.

4. School is important but also not important -
Very confusing I know, but just hear me out. School, to me, is a very stressful place and I hate it so much. I'm sure a lot of you feel this way too. But, school is important and you really do have to do your homework on time and study. If you don't do these, you will fail unless you're super smart and take everything in and never need to study (my brother). School is compulsory for a reason, and that's to get you prepared to get you into a career. But, school isn't the only option. Depending on what you want to do, you can go to TAFE or start your own business or who knows what else. And, if school is weighing you down and you have no time to do things you love and spend time with friends and family, then school isn't that important. You need to be able to spend your teenage years living and experiencing things but if homework is stopping you from going out to dinner with your family, then I think you need to realize that school isn't that important.

5. Dreams do come true if you work hard for them -
Last year was the year where I started getting really into YouTube and YouTubers. In October, I tweeted Alfie multiple times during one of his follow sprees, and on that same morning he followed me. It was the best moment ever and I had been waiting for it for so long. Near the end of the year, I got people to send me videos and pictures and made them into a little video for Alfie to show how much we love and appreciate him. My goal was for him to see it and I honestly thought he never would. But after a lot of hard work and tweeting him what seemed like a million times (and I probably lost a few followers because they were sick of me spamming him the video) he finally saw it and tweeted about it and commented on the video. It just shows that you really need to put all the effort in that you can to get something you want. Remember this, always.

6. Everyone is beautiful -
Everyone is beautiful in their own way and I know you've probably heard this a billion times but it's completely true. Last year Acacia Brinley (a lot of you don't like her but please don't leave my blog because I am about to say some legit stuff) said this:

And, it's so so true. Yes, I have seen a few people in my life who I honestly didn't think were that pretty. But they were still beautiful, maybe not to me, but to their family, friends and so many others.
When you look at yourself in the mirror you only see your face and not the way you laugh or the way your face lights up when you are doing something you love, and that's what makes you beautiful, not how thin you are or how nice your hair is. You are on the outside looking into a mirror. But people around you are on the outside looking into your beautiful soul. You just need to remember that because you don't think you are beautiful, a lot of people do because it's true.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and learnt something from it, I don't know.
I love you, stay beautiful. ♥
